SRTX is best known for its first technology, Sheertex, a knit made from one of the world’s strongest polymers that has disrupted hosiery through impossibly strong pantyhose. Named one of TIME’s Best Inventions, our customers get more wears from our tights than average - meaning fewer tights end up in landfills. Our mission towards achieving sustainability stretches beyond the environment: we are committed to paying our employees an equitable wage and offering an environment that promotes creativity and growth.
They set out to prove the resiliency of the Sheertex® knit. It wouldn't be Sheertex if they didn't push boundaries. Typical textile lab strength tests kept coming back inconclusive since they aren't designed with stretchy hosiery in mind.
So they did what only they could do. They built an in-house lab and developed new ways to prove 4 textile strength measures: burst strength, abrasion resistance, yarn strength, and tensile strength. They're talking robotic arms, 3D-printed thumbs, and more. More information about their next-level testing can be found on their website.
